Grandpa's Motorcycle

Grandpa Gene came to visit for a couple of days. He came on his motorcycle which the kids both love. Anton loves all motorcycles and is fascinated anytime we pass one on the road. He can hear a motorcycle before we can and he says "vroom". Emma has been asking grandpa for a ride on his bike for a long time. We finally decided she was old enough so grandpa took her to Fleet Farm and got her a helmet and goggles. She was so surprised, she thought we were just going to shop. So, she and grandpa finally got their first ride together. Emma was grinning from ear to ear the entire time.

4th of July Kiddie Parade

Jack, Anton, Katelyn and Emma

The Rochester Jaycees sponsored a 4th of July Kiddie Parade. Emma has been wanting to be in a parade for a long time. So, we thought this was the perfect opportunity. Katelyn, Emma and Jack decorated their scooters and wagon with red, white and blue. Anton also strolled through the parade carrying his flag. There were over 200 kids in the parade. They all had a lot of fun and enjoyed being "in" the parade.

Water balloons

Emma and the neighbor kids love water balloons. So, this summer Anton has been able to play with them. At first, he didn't quite know what to think of them, but after a while, he was throwing them and laughing and wanting "mo".

Oxbow Park & Zollman Zoo

We went to the zoo this morning. It is a small zoo only a couple of miles from our house. Emma had been there before with her kindergarten class so she was able to show us all around. Anton absolutely LOVED the animals and the whole zoo. He talked more than we've ever heard him talk. I think we will be going back there a lot this summer and fall.

Bed head

Anton had just woken up from a nap with a crazy, sweaty bed head.

4th of July Kiddie Parade

Emma, Katelyn & Jack are going to be in a 4th of July Kiddie parade tomorrow in Rochester so they had to decorate their scooters and wagon. Emma loves her red, white and blue scooter. Anton will just watch the parade this year.

Bike

Emma recently learned how to ride a "two-wheeled" bike. She does really good on it, and she can even turn around in the driveway and stop without too many falls. Our big girl has had a big couple of weeks. Way to go Emma!!
