Oxbow Park & Zollman Zoo

We went to the zoo this morning. It is a small zoo only a couple of miles from our house. Emma had been there before with her kindergarten class so she was able to show us all around. Anton absolutely LOVED the animals and the whole zoo. He talked more than we've ever heard him talk. I think we will be going back there a lot this summer and fall.

Bed head

Anton had just woken up from a nap with a crazy, sweaty bed head.

4th of July Kiddie Parade

Emma, Katelyn & Jack are going to be in a 4th of July Kiddie parade tomorrow in Rochester so they had to decorate their scooters and wagon. Emma loves her red, white and blue scooter. Anton will just watch the parade this year.

Bike

Emma recently learned how to ride a "two-wheeled" bike. She does really good on it, and she can even turn around in the driveway and stop without too many falls. Our big girl has had a big couple of weeks. Way to go Emma!!

1st tooth

Emma lost her 1st tooth today while she was at a friend's house. The thing has been just barely hanging on for the last month, so we knew it would be any day. Her permanent tooth was already coming in behind it. So, she won't have a gap for long. She is so excited for the tooth fairy tonight. Emma's dentist gave her a pink tooth container to put the tooth in when she lost it, so she wrote a note to the tooth fairy asking if she would leave the pink tooth so she could use it again. What an exciting day for Emma!! Congratulations big girl!!

Sprained ankle

Emma twisted her ankle yesterday while playing kickball. This morning it was quite swollen, so Andy took her to the ER. Thankfully, no broken bones, only a bad sprain. She just has to wear an immobilizer and stay off of it for a couple of days, then we'll see Sports Medicine and have follow-up x-rays on Thursday to see if there are any hairline fractures. She is being quite a trooper with it all, and is so proud of her "bones".

Pool fun

It was so nice today that we decided to fill our pool. The kids had such a great time in it, that we couldn't help but to catch it on camera. They both were laughing so hard that they made us laugh.
